Why Countrywide hired me, but I've been hired by Trinet?

I see a lot of companies doing this today. It really protects the company from an employee defective because it may be dismissed at any time for any reason. They usually give a period of time as 3 months where it will evaluate its performance and then decide from there if they want to hire you, keep you as a contractor, or let you go.
