Can collectors touch my social security checks disabled?
My situation is as follows. I only get one check a month which is my inability social security check. With the check I used to be able to pay these bills four credit cards plus my half of the mortgage. Now that Times are tough now need chip for all accounts utilitiy and some food. The four companies are ringing my phone on the wall even though I told them about my situation and will no longer be able to pay my credit card accounts. The change in what I have to pay now is a change that means you never have permanet money to pay the cards. The name of my wife is not in any of the cards. Can you take me to court? Can I play my check or judgment-proof. I live in the Oseola County Florida.
nope … in general, wages may be garnished for back taxes or child support.
