Should we sell our house?
We live in Hawaii and bought our condo a little over 3 years ago, when the market here is very high. We have two mortgages that are interest-only and currently pay about $ 2ka month. We are emphasizing, however, we can make our payment, our debt credit card has increased and are pessimistic about where we will end up if we stay under this agreement. We are also considering moving to California. So we should sell our condo and just rent until they are able to move or save enough to buy another place? In addition, the carpet in our place is very bad should go ahead and change before selling (taking the savings that we currently have) or just sell them as is?
Can we rent for less than $ 2000 month? If so, you may be better to go ahead and sell. Instead of sinking their savings into a new carpet, I would give the buyer an allowance for carpet. In this way, you can choose the style and color you want and it will be again when you move in. You will not have to forward the money because credit is only from seller to buyer at closing. How sad if you put in new carpet and the buyer wants to tile or laminate wood!
